Unit 1
Weekly Reflection:
We have just started art and we are learning about the Islamic and arabica art. We have recently started learning about the 4 four fold and I found it really interesting but unfortunately I did struggle with it so but I managed to draw a flower, but then I thought it was to simple and I kept trying to do different shapes but so far I am struggling with the shapes because I want to try and make everything perfect but it is quite hard for me. I managed to finish the flower in one lesson, and when I trying to draw this flower I tried to make it with many petals and I tried to add detail but I did struggle with that as well. But I did manage to finish it but my target for the next lesson is to make sure that I draw different shapes and also include a lot of detail.
For this week I redid my work and it took me quite awhile. Thankfully I finished and my technique was to look for some type of pattern and soon I was able to add detail it looked amazing I was really proud of my work. Then I added a color scheme, I was looking for something different so I was trying out dark color with light colors and light colors with dark colors. But I still haven't thought of what color I should add.
This week I found my color scheme and I did a light blue with a light yellow, I painted for half of the lesson then I started drawing on an A3 paper, and I did change my design, it was quite different but I tried to use the same shape but in the end I was proud of what I did, and I managed to start of a bit with my art work.
This week I did the same thing and that was basically drawing my art piece and I did struggle to make it look the same because i had to do the same measurements, so it was quite hard for me to do it over and over again but in the end I got used to it and I was able to measure all the lines and shapes, so it would look symmetrical.
For this week I was absent and of course I didn't do anything for the art lesson, but I was able to think about what I could do next and that was to make sure for the next lesson I had to make my work my symmetrical.
This week I was able to finish all my work, but I did have to stay after school and come during break to finish my work.
Final Reflection:

Final Reflection:
I really enjoyed this unit it was amazing but there where some ups and downs for this unit. The first thing I started with is the top one with the blue and yellow color scheme, I enjoyed sketching it but it was quite hard, to sketch. I found my first sketch on the internet but I changed it more, at first when it was one the internet it was very detailed with more lines I decided to change it by a little bit and get rid of most of the lines. After I sketched the first when I did the color scheme and as you can see in the picture I just put the colors I wanted together, I made sure the color scheme was a mix of dark colors and light colors. I changed my whole sketch, now I made sure that I included triangles because I used triangles in the first sketch. The reason I changed the while sketch was because I struggles with the sketching I wanted it make it perfect, I struggled because not only did I struggle but it was impossible to make it even because when I tried all of it all of it was uneven an unsymmetrical. In my opinion it the design is quite similar but I just moved the triangles around a bit. I solved this by making sure I added less triangles but I kept looking at my first sketch and made sure that it was similar. I also changed the color scheme because it wanted it to pop but I still kept the yellow and the blue, the reason I changed the color scheme is because I messed up the pattern. I think it looks a little uneven but I did have measurement for each of the lines, but in the end it was great. I think the best part was me changing the design and adding more colors. In the end I really enjoyed the whole unit and I learned that all of the work should me prefect, also everything had to be symmetrical and everything had to pop, I mean that by making sure that I was different. But in the end I really enjoyed the work.
